Who is my favourite celebrity? Only one person. Why?

When talking about best-loved celebrity, several celebrities cames across my mind but there is one person that I adored most. He is Maher Zain, a Swedish R&B singer, songwriter and music producer of Lebanese origin. Let me get you close to Maher Zain. He was born on March 16, 1981 in Lebanon while his father Mustafa Maher was a local singer in his hometown Tripoli, Lebanon. Maher’s first musical inspiration came from his father, who was a singer himself, performing locally in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Tripoli, Lebanon. His family moved to Sweden when Maher was only eight, where he continued his schooling there. Fascinated by the music and instruments, Maher got his first keyboard when he was only ten and ever since music officially became part of Maher’s world. He then pursued his studies and got a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering. That’s a little bit about Maher Zain history. Now let’s move on to his teenage years. At that dull moment, he liked to spend late nights at school with his buddies where they would sing, rap, compose and experimenting with music. I have seen in a local newspaper that he admitted his teenage years was terrible and his faith was weak towards his Creator. Even he admitted he was drunk and always hang out at the night clubs. But that was old story, he is now is a Islamic genre singer. All his songs has the elements of preach to advocate the people especially Muslims not to go astray from the right path. Maher had what many would describe as a dream job for someone so young in such a glamorous business, but for Maher it felt like this was far from what he would call “the dream”. He loved the music but he hated everything that surrounded it, it always felt like something wasn’t right. So that’s why he preffered to Islamic way to preach the public as he felt so relieved when he do such deeds things. Maher feels blessed to able to finally find the right way, and feels like it’s his turn now to help others through his music to do the same. That’s what the most I like so much about him.

Ways to be good in public speaking

“Public Speaking” when we saw that words, the first thing that may baffle our mind would be standing in front of public to speak. That was mostly people tend to think about. However public speaking is not just only to be standing in front of crowds, it is more than what you could imagine. The fear of public speaking ranks number one in the minds of the majority of people. It is far above the fright of diseases or even death. For some proportion of people, they enjoyed the applause and after effects of successful speeches, but hated the nerves and stress that went with the delivery. It goes without saying, great content can be ruined by poor delivery. It is equally true that no amount of great tecniques will rescue bad content. You must develop both skill sets to deliver strong and convincing presentations. Some simple tips that I want to discuss here may improve your delivery in public speaking. The first is slow down. Take your time. It’s easy, right? We tend to speak quickly when we are in nervous situation. If you speak too quickly, people will see you as nervous and perhaps even unsure of the topic you are going to convey. Find a comfortable pace and practice. Just be careful that you are not too slow. Speak clearly is number two. When speaking in public, you need to exaggerate the way you enunciate words and pronounce your words correctly . What sounds clear to your ears, is muddy 30 feet into the room. If you are not sure how to say a word, don’t use it. Be especially careful with proper nouns. You will turn off the audience quickly if you mispronounce the name of their town in your introduction. There’s nothing that destroys your credibility as a speaker like a misused vocabulary. If you are unsure of the meaning of a word, look it up. If you can’t look it up, just leave it out. The utmost in public speaking is look at people. I have seen speakers stare at their notes, at the wall or even the floor but at those sitting in the room. Make eye contact with your listeners. That’s the most important but remember not to gaze at one person, but let your eyes work the room as they will feel you are trying to communicate with them. Facial expression, gestures and your postures also plays important role in ensuring a successful presentations. Work with your face, arms and perhaps your whole body and make sure you are free from lectern to place your notes. Get rid of it. It can be a large barrier between you and your audience. You will do a better job of communicating your passion for the topic as your barrier is gone. The best presentation you can give is the one you know so well, you don’t need any props to hold you up. It’s just you and the audience. But always keep in your mind practice makes perfect. Any presenter gets better through practice. Make these tips part of your preparation process and people are going to want to listen to you speak.

Why I’m nervous in front of public and how to overcome it?

I can see why people are afraid of speaking in front of a group. You're up there alone. All of those eyes are fixed on you. Their ears are tuned to every word you say. You feel vulnerable. No place to hide. That feeling is called nervous. When you are invited to speak in public, you are surrounded by people who want to hear you. They asked you to speak because they believe you have something of value to say. They invested time in listening to you because they believe it will be well spent. Even an audience that opposes your point of view sees value in listening to you. Many of them may listen only to reinforce their already fixed opinions, but they still want to hear what you have to say.So when you stand in front of an audience, you're not standing in front of enemies. You are standing in front of friends, people who want you to succeed in speaking and value the information you are sharing with them. The audience admires you for having the gumption to do what most of them are afraid to do themselves. So when you stand in front of people who value and support you, you're not really alone. You're with people who appreciate you enough to listen. An audience really is a safe place to open up and express yourself. There are many ways that i know to overcome my nervousness when i'm in front of public. You can learn how to relax by doing exercises to ease your tension. Sit comfortable with your back straight. Breathe in slowly, hold your breath for 4 to 5 seconds, then slowly exhale. Apart from that, you must know your audiences, materials as well as become familiar with the room itself. If possible, greet some of the audience as they arrive and chat with them. It is easier to speak to a group of friends than to a group of strangers. From the materials aspects, if you are not familiar with your material or are uncomfortable with it, your nervousness will increase. Practice your speech or presentation and revise it until you can present it with ease. Become familiar with the place in which you will speak is also important in decreasing your nervousness. Arrive early and walk around the room including the speaking area. Stand at the lectern, speak into the microphone. Walk around where the audience will be seated. Walk from where you will be seated to the place where you will be speaking. I really hope with my suggestions here on ways to overcome anxious feeling in delivering good speeches in front of public in the near future.
